Infectious disease outbreaks, like the current Coronavirus (Covid 19), can be scary and can affect our emotional wellbeing. The scenario with coronavirus is rapidly changing so we have set up this page to keep everyone updated on Time Out's response. Please keep an eye on this page and our Facebook page for latest developments.
The main message at this stage is that we are looking at ways to continue to provide support, although we will have to do this differently in the coming weeks.
The Government have now taken the decision to close all schools to the vast majority of pupils. Exams have also been cancelled.
We understand that this is a worrying time for a lot of young people and we will be exploring ways to offer support during this difficult time. In the meantime, please have a look at the following links:
The Open Minds website has a range of helpful resources around social distancing and strategies to manage concerns and anxieties around COVID 19 (coronoavirus).
Kooth are also able to offer on-line discussions, advice and guidance on our website around COVID-19 and how young people can stay safe physically and mentally. More info at www.kooth.com
Schools Activity, Courses & Workshops
All schools in the UK are now closed to most pupils.
Any work that had been planned in schools is now postponed until the situation changes.
There have also been some changes to general Healthy Minds services and more information can be found here
There is a lot of understandable anxiety about this and we encourage you to obtain information from official sources:
